Plan, finance, and execute the development and up keep of essential infrastructure, including roads ,water supply ,sanitation ,public transportation, and recreational facilities.

The following Aim, Objectives have been coherently formulated to comply with both the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Urban Areas Development Authorities Act, 2020, and international best practices. The subsequent organizational structure will be based upon objectives and functions of UADA (Kohat)
Mandate: Responsible for the comprehensive planning and design of urban spaces in Kohat.
Mandate: Responsible for the implementation of infrastructure projects in Kohat.
Mandate: To ensure the effective and transparent financial management of UADA, supporting its development objectives through sound financial planning, resource allocation, and reporting.
Mandate: To provide efficient and reliable administrative support to UADA, ensuring smooth operations, effective human resource management, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Mandate: Responsible for integrating environmental considerations in to all aspects of UADA’s work.
Mandate: Responsible for engaging with the community and ensuring that UADA’s work reflects the needs and aspirations of Kohat’s residents.
Mandate: Responsible for preserving and promoting Kohat's cultural and historical heritage. ○ Responsibilities ■ Identifying and documenting heritage sites and buildings. ■ Developing conservation plans and guidelines. ■ Promoting heritage tourism. ■ Raising awareness about the importance of heritage conservation.
Mandate: Responsible for leveraging technology to improve UADA's operations and service delivery. ○ Responsibilities: ■ Implementing Geographic Information Systems(GIS) for planning and analysis. ■ Exploring and piloting smart city technologies. ■ Developing data-driven solutions for urban challenges. ■ Promoting the use of technology in the community.
Mandate: To provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve KDA's operations. ○ Responsibilities: ■ Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan. ■ Conduct internal audits in accordance with the internal audit manual. ■ Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management.
This new structure will enable UADA (Kohat) to operate more effectively and efficiently, ensuring that it is well-equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
